We just returned from an awesome and relaxing week in the Riveria Maya in a small town called Akumal. We rented a small house on the beach and since it is off season, it was nice and quiet. The girls loved every minute of playing in the sand, looking for sea shells, hunting hermit crabs, spotting lizards and practicing their Spanish.
We brought along a much needed necessity. My 18 year old cousin was a HUGE help and allowed Will and I to actually snorkel together! Thanks Chelc!
We frequented local restaurants, launched off a Tope, and even got pulled over by the Mexican Police. Always an adventure traveling with Will! Mr. Officer, no hablo espanol!!
Here are a couple pics of the house, well maintained by the gardner every day.
